How to Enable and Upload Photo/Video in Proviews – Product Reviews Q&A

Overview

Photo and video reviews are one of the most effective ways to build trust and drive conversions in your store. When shoppers can see real customers using your products, they gain the confidence to buy. With Proviews, collecting and displaying visual reviews is simple, and it's available to all stores, even on the Free Plan.

What you can do with this feature:

Allow customers to attach photos or videos to their reviews, display visual thumbnails on product pages, and collect rich media via review request emails, all without any coding.

Step 1 – Enable Photo/Video Uploads

Follow these steps to activate review attachments in your Proviews settings:

1. Log in to the Proviews app.

2. Navigate to SettingsMain Widget and click the Manage button.

3. Scroll down to the “Review Attachments” section.

4. Configure the options described in the table below.

Step 2 – Configure Review Attachment Settings

Tip: A thumbnail width of 75 px offers the best balance between visibility and layout, large enough for shoppers to preview, small enough not to dominate the review section.

Step 3 – How Customers Upload Photos/Videos

Once the feature is enabled, customers can submit visual reviews through two channels:

Method 1 — Product Page

  • Customer visits any product page on your store.
  • They open the "Write a Review" form.
  • An upload icon appears within the form, letting them attach a photo or video before submitting.

Method 2 — Review Request Email

  • Customer receives a post-purchase review request email.
  • They complete the review form via the email link.
  • After submission, they are redirected to a dedicated upload page.
  • A "Thank You" confirmation screen is shown once the upload is complete.
