Create Microsoft Advertising’s Performance Max Campaign Using Simprosys Product Feed for WooCommerce Plugin
In this guide, we will show you how to create Microsoft Advertising’s Performance Max Campaign directly from the Simprosys Product Feed for WooCommerce Plugin.
What is a PMAX Campaign?
Let’s begin with defining what a PMAX campaign is:
A PMAX campaign in Microsoft Advertising is a goal-oriented campaign designed to use automated machine learning to advertise products across Microsoft Advertising platforms. It optimizes targeting, bidding, and creative elements to boost conversions effectively.
Steps to Create Microsoft Advertising’s PMAX Campaign
Follow the steps below to create a new Performance Max (PMAX) campaign in your Microsoft Advertising Account from our plugin:
Navigate to the Campaigns section in the plugin and click on the Microsoft Performance Max Campaign option.

You will be presented with two options:
1. Create New Performance Max Campaign
2. Link Existing Performance Max Campaign

Since we are creating a new campaign, we will select “Create New Performance Max Campaign”.
On the next page, you will have the option to configure the campaign settings.

Average Daily Budget: The average daily budget is the amount of money you are willing to spend on your campaign each day. This helps manage your daily ad spend and overall budget.

Enter your desired average daily budget for the campaign. Based on the currency and countries your ads will be displayed.
Note: It is recommended to maintain this average daily budget for the first 14–21 days to ensure the campaign optimizes effectively for its conversion goals.
The next option you will see is Campaign Status:
- This allows you to pause or enable the campaign.
- The status will indicate whether your ads are running or paused at the moment.

Currently, we only support the maximize conversion value strategy, which is ideal for e-commerce businesses. This strategy focuses on maximizing the total value of conversions rather than the quantity.
You can set a Target ROAS to define the desired return on ad spend for your campaign.

ROAS represents the amount of revenue you aim to earn for every dollar spent on advertising. If you’re unsure how to set a Target ROAS for your campaign, simply provide the average profit margin percentage.

If your profit margin is between 11% and 65%, the plugin will recommend a suitable Target ROAS for your campaign.

If your profit margin falls outside the recommended range, you can directly enter your desired Target ROAS.
If you do not have a specific ROAS goal, leave the Target ROAS option unchecked. This will allow Microsoft Advertising to automatically maximize the Target ROAS for you.
Next, enter a campaign name for your reference.

Once all the settings are configured, click Create Campaign to create your campaign successfully.

To make changes to an existing campaign, click the pencil icon under Actions on the campaigns page.
Steps to Link an Existing PMAX Campaign
If you have already created a PMAX campaign in your Microsoft Advertising account, and wish to link it, follow the below steps:
- From the campaigns page, click the Link Existing Campaign button.

2. You will be presented with a list of enabled campaigns with maximize conversion value bidding strategy.

3. Select the campaign you want to link, and click Continue.

4. If necessary, modify the settings by following the same process as earlier.

Once done, click Update Campaign and your campaign will be successfully linked.
