Configure Product Level Feed and Default Settings for Your Ecwid Store

Sep 11, 2026

The Feed Configurations page allows you to configure how product information is included and submitted in your feed. These settings allow you to refine product data, set default attribute values, and configure the unique product identifiers included in your feed.

Configure product feed settings, default attribute values, and unique product identifiers from the Feed Configurations page

1. Feed Configuration Settings:

The Feed Configuration Settings section allows you to customize the product information included in your feed. It provides options to add Variant Title to Product Title, submit additional product images, and enable AI-powered optimization.

  • Add Variant Title to Product Title: Enable this option to add Variant Title such as Size, Color, Pattern, or Material to the Product Title in the feed. This may improve your product performance in the shopping ads.
  • Do you want to enhance your product feeds with AI-powered optimization? :
  • Enable this toggle to generate AI-optimized product data for your feed. You can choose between two options:
  • Optimize & Submit Automatically: Automatically generates and submits AI-optimized product and variant attributes to your feed for any unassigned attributes through your Ecwid store.
  • Optimize for Manual Review: Generates AI-optimized product data for review, allowing you to approve or edit attributes before submitting them to your feed.
  • Submit Additional Images: Enable this option to submit up to 10 additional product images along with the main image. This allows marketing channels to display product carousels, alternative angles, and hover-to-reveal effects to improve click-through rates.

2. Product ID Format:

The Product ID Format determines how a unique Product ID is generated for products submitted through the feed. Select the format that best matches how products and variants are identified in your store.

  • Variant ID as Product ID
  • Uses the unique numerical Variant ID assigned to each product’s variant as a Product ID in the product feed.
  • Example: 12345678
  • {product_id}_{variant_id}
  • Combines the Product Group ID and Variant ID to create a single unique Product ID.
  • Example: 9876543_12345678
  • SKU as Product ID
  • Uses the product variant's SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) as the Product ID. This option is recommended when each variant in your store has a unique SKU value assigned. Products without SKUs cannot be included in the product feed, and that variant becomes ineligible for feed submission.
  • Example: ABCD1234

Note:

Do not change the Product ID Format if your feed has already been approved in the integrated channels. Changing the Product ID format will cause the products to be treated as new products and may require re-approval. Additionally, the performance history associated with the existing Product IDs may be lost. If a change is absolutely necessary, please contact us at support@simprosys.com.

3. Default Settings (Optional)

The Default Settings section lets you configure default values for new products when specific attributes are not provided through your store.

  • You can set default values for attributes such as Google Product Category, Age Group, Gender, Product Condition, and Unique Product Identifier Management.
  • Once a default value is assigned to an attribute, it is automatically applied to new products that do not have a value for that attribute through your Ecwid store.

Unique Product Identifier Management

As part of the Default Settings, the Unique Product Identifier Management section lets you control which product identifiers are submitted in your feed. Select the option that best matches the product identifiers available for your products.

Available Options

  • Submit GTIN (Barcode/UPC), Brand Name, and MPN: Submit the available GTIN (Barcode/UPC), Brand Name, and MPN information with your products in the feed.
  • Submit Brand Name and MPN Only: Submit the Brand Name and MPN without submitting the GTIN (Barcode/UPC).
  • Submit Brand Name Only: Submit only the Brand Name with your products in the feed.
  • Mark Product as Custom-made: Mark your products as custom-made when standard unique product identifiers are not available. In this case, we will submit the identifier exists value as false in the product feed.

Save & Continue

  • After selecting the required feed configuration settings, click Save & Continue to save your selections.

Note: The Feed Configuration page appears during your first channel setup. If you save your settings, they will automatically apply to future channels. If you leave the page without saving, the configuration setup will reappear during your next integration.

Once the settings are configured, you can access and update them anytime from the left sidebar by going to Product Management > Feed Configuration.
